Just one from today. More tomorrow!

A few days ago, well, it may have been a week ago, I wrote about a little something new and exciting in my life. Well, I’m going to explain. Finally! I signed up for the YMCA Biggest Loser contest, and I can’t tell you how excited I am! We have teams of 7 – I’m on the pink team. We get team t-shirts, workouts with our team trainer, meetings with a nutritionist, and I think most of all – motivation! This was my first week of the contest. We started on Monday and had our first official weigh-in today. I’ve lost 4 pounds in 5 days! All with lots of exercise and eating well. No pills, no fad diets. None of that crap. I can’t tell you how much better I feel already after just one week. It’s amazing! Why am I sharing this here for anyone and everyone? Extra motivation I suppose. Whether you’re reading as a family member or friend, or whether you’re reading as a client/potential client, I have nothing to hide. And who couldn’t use a little cheering section?! Am I right? The contest will last 8 weeks, and apparently there are lots of fabulous prizes.
Well, I’m also here to challenge you, too! If you’re reading this, and you have 20 or 200 pounds to lose, why not join in with me? We can all weigh in on Fridays! Everyone needs a support system! We can share tips and recipes, too, if anybody wants…Oooh. And maybe before and after pictures? I always love those – well, when they’re of other people.
I’ll continue weighing in even after the contest ends. As for my goal? My motivation? Well, that’s for a future post.
You’d think I would skinny with all the running around I have to do to catch this little guy! Let me tell you, he is FAST! This is what I see 95% of the day.

And the other 5% are spent like this. Not much of a rest!

Forgive me for not updating the blog in a few days. The little guy is keeping me on my toes!
Dan made it to Japan in one piece, although he said he was squished between to little Japanese women who took up all the room. And if you know Dan, this probably makes you laugh, as it does me. My husband is 6′ 4″. He’s a big guy, there’s no denying, and to picture him in a little plane seat for 14 or so hours makes me giggle. (Sorry honey!) I’ve only received a few emails from him because his internet access is really limited, and he hasn’t been able to make a single phone call yet. It’s quite lonely here without him, but he says he’s having a fabulous time. Every other sentence has an “amazing” in it. He’s says the Japanese are the nicest people he’s ever met, and he really loves their culture. I think he also likes the food.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t like sake. That’s probably a good thing though.
Here are a few pictures he emailed me the other day…Enjoy!
