A few weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of photographing scrumptious 5-day-old Bobby. Let me tell you it has been a LONG time since I’ve held a little one this tiny. We’re talking 3.5 years…And Baby Bobby was soooo sweet and sleepy. We also had plenty of time for some family shots around their new home. This sweet family just moved to St. Louis from Wisconsin and had a brand new baby all in just a couple weeks. Phew. Can you imagine?

Really beautiful light in their home.

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing 5-week-old Sunee! (How adorable is that name?!) Her mama, Casey, was in many of the photos as a present to her husband. I hope they both love them!

S t r e t c h !!!!

She is SO alert!

The following 2 photographs were taken in their backyard. It’s amazing! Of course it should be, Casey’s hubby owns a landscaping business.

I should pay them to do sessions with my clients in their backyard. ;) It’s just that pretty.

I don’t think their dog was too thrilled about the photo session.

Milk coma.

Fun in a tutu.

And I’ll leave you with one sweet sleepy shot.

After re-scheduling this session TWICE, we finally had a day with some good weather and BRILLIANT sunshine at Lafayette Square – one of my favorite places to shoot! Matt and Carolyn were really great sports, despite the crazy St. Louis heat. I think it paid off, because I think we got some really great shots. When I uploaded the images from this shoot, I realized this was going to depart from my normal blog posts. Mainly because I normally LOVE black and white images. But not this shoot. Not this time. With the beautiful golden light, the beautiful greenery of the park, and Carolyn’s gorgeous purple shirt, I went mostly color.

Thanks Carolyn + Matt – I’m really looking forward to your Columbia wedding in July!!!

When Ru, a former bride, emailed asking to take family pictures, I was thrilled. They live in DC, and were back in St. Louis visiting her parents…And when she told me she and Mark were now parents, I was REALLY excited. I love photographing babies. And this one was a real cutie pie. Love this family. They even promised to take us to a Caps game if we ever make it out to DC. (My husband is a crazy Caps fan. I’m talking hockey for those of you who have no clue what I’m mumbling about.) How cool is that?!

Yup, still behind on blogging. Preview of what’s to come from Katie + Sean’s wonderful wedding.

Loved this moment. It was RIGHT after the ceremony. I made them hide while everyone got set up for bubbles.

On the day we moved, yes THE day (who knows what I was thinking), I had a family session with a really adorable family. The beginning of our session was a little rough, and the session was on one of the very first cold days we had, but I think we all had a blast toward the end. The girls REALLY loved running down the hills at Des Peres Park. So sorry it has taken this long to get this post up!

We had some really rockin’ light…

When it became obvious the girls weren’t having much fun, we decided it was time to PLAY!

Such a sweet smile…

I hope they look at this image when they’re older and love it. They’re just too cute.

Flying!!!

My favorite of the day…

Can’t wait to show you more of this super adorable family.

Last weekend, Aidan, my mom, Sandy and grandaughter Sunee went to Old Town St. Charles for the annual Festival of the Little Hills. I like to go and eat the kettle corn. Aidan likes to go down a 25-foot slide at top speeds.

A few weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of second shooting for a great St. Louis photographer, Von Devore. (I had a blast shooting with you – thanks again!) Here are some images from one of the hottest days of the year.

Kenny waiting for Jenna for their first look. I highly recommend seeing each other before the ceremony because it gives us SO much more time to be creative, and your guests will love you because they don’t have to sit around all day waiting. It’s a win-win situation!

I love their expressions!

I loved this shot that Von posed. So cute, and you can tell they were having fun with it, too!

They had some really fab windows at the Whitmoor Country Club. Love this one!

Loved her flowers AND her colors. Gorgeous!

It was crazy hot, and I felt so bad for Kenny. Some people thought he was crying, but later he said it was all sweat. Eeek!

I loved this completely candid moment when her bridesmaid’s were trying to bustle her dress. It almost looks posed because she looked so perfect.

Checking out the ring.

Hello gorgeous light!

Father/daughterS dance. Love it!

How cool is this bride?! And I love the expression on the bridesmaid’s face behind her. Hysterical!
