Deanne + Matt: St. Louis Wedding
June 1, 2010Matt and Deanne are a dream couple. They’re sweet, adorable, and absolutely natural in front of the camera. When we did their engagement session back in November, I just KNEW their wedding would be a great one, and they didn’t disappoint! All of their wedding details were absolutely beautiful, and it was really incredible to be part of an event for a family that is so close. The moments before Deanne walked down the aisle with her father were so special that it made me tear up. I absolutely love my job, and having the opportunity to document moments like those are a huge reason why.
Here’s part I of Deanne + Matt’s beautiful wedding day…

Don’t forget to come back to check out Part 2! It’s going to be a HUGE post.
Dani + Joe: Wedding (St. Louis photography)
May 13, 2010Ceremony: Manchester United Methodist Church
Reception: St. Louis Marriot West
Wedding Party Pics: Faust Park
Bridesmaid Dresses: White House Black Market

I really wish I could remember what happened at this moment…All I know is it makes me laugh.

Dani + Joe’s wedding party was fiesty!

More proof…

And pretty…

See – told ya. FIESTY! One of my favorite moments of the day.

Faust Park rocks.

Who doesn’t love a candy buffet?

I love her expression…And her stance.

I love that she cried pretty much every time she saw her dad. Is that weird?

There was just so much love in this family. It was incredible to watch how close they are.

But then it was time to party! Dani is fierce! (A la America’s Next Top Model)

Melissa + Scott: City Museum Reception Part III

All of the following beautiful detail shots are by Ashley, too!

I love the look on her face. So happy!!!d

The end. For real…
Thanks for looking!

Katie + Jonathan: Engagment (St. Louis wedding photographers)
November 9, 2009I’ve known Katie for a LONG time. Since high school. Which was…well…a long time ago. (That’s all I’ll say so I don’t have to give away my age!) We had several years of French classes together. We found each other on Facebook a while ago, and she began commenting on all my pictures. And I was SUPER excited when she emailed me and told me she was engaged, so she wanted to hire me to shoot her wedding! Love that Facebook. (I love when clients – or blog readers, for that matter – add me on FB, by the way! Click on Links at the top of my blog to take you to my FB page.)
So we headed out to Bee Tree Park and Tower Grove Park for their engagement shoot. And let me tell you, it was the most PERFECT day ever for a shoot. The colors of all the leaves were exquisite, the weather was just amazing, and the light at both parks was phenomenal. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Seriously. I have almost a year to wait for their wedding, but I’m thrilled they’ve chosen me to document it. Can’t wait!!!
And…on to the pics…

Out of the Office
October 21, 2009I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be out of town for a funeral. I will be returning tomorrow. I’ll be returning phone calls and emails on Friday.
Thanks for your understanding during this time as I’ve had to completely re-organize my schedule this week.
Paula + Nick: Day After Session (St. Louis wedding photographers)
October 16, 2009I LOVE day after sessions. They rock my socks off. So do Paula + Nick. Here’s just one from their session.

So I’ve been getting a bunch of emails asking me, “What is a day after session?!” Basically, it’s just a session for couples to dress up in their wedding day clothes and go out for more picture fun without the stresses of the wedding day. Some brides choose to have their hair done differently, some may get their dress a little dirty by going places they normally wouldn’t on their wedding day. And let me tell you, they’re all sorts of fun! And no, it DOES NOT have to be the very next day after your wedding. In fact, I prefer it not to be. But if you’re interested, whether you got married last week or last year, give me a call. Promise we’ll have a blast.
Josh and Diane chose to hit up downtown St. Louis for their day after session. We went everywhere from the Arch grounds, to Keiner Plaza and the City Garden. Too fun!
My fave of the day…

These are for their thank you cards.

First time shooting at the City Garden. Loved it!

Diane is a beautiful girl, but she just looks extra amazing in this picture. I love it!

Sorry, but I never get tired of brides and grooms running. If you hire me, I’ll make you do it.
Sorry!
September 27, 2009Just wanted to post a little update on my computer situation…since it’s preventing me from blogging. GRRR! I’ve had some calibration troubles during the past couple days, so I haven’t been able to do ANY editing. I’m sorry for everyone who’s waiting for a blog preview right now! (Especially Chris + Sarah!) Thanks for being patient, and I hope to get it all figured out ASAP.
Out of the office
July 16, 2009Hey everyone! I know I haven’t updated the blog in a long while, and it’ll probably be at least another week because we are on vacation in New York! Dan’s parents live in the city, and we figured it’s about time we took the little guy out here. He’s loving it, and so are we. I’ll still be checking emails if anybody needs anything.
Email me!
April 24, 2009Just a quick note to let you guys know I lost my Blackberry in the chaos of yesterday. Please email me if you need to get in touch. I’ll try to be super quick at responding. Thanks for understanding!

Miss Kelsey ( St. Louis wedding photographer)
April 9, 2009I know. I was supposed to have this post up days ago. I’ve been swamped with meetings and clearing out my inbox, ordering prints as well as preparing for a wedding this weekend. (Yay!) It’s a good busy, but it hasn’t left me much time for blog posts. So here it is. The fabulous Kelsey, my beautiful niece. I was so thrilled for some sun, and I think she did a great job modeling for me. Thanks, Kels! I can’t believe how much she looks like her mama. Kelsey looks just like her mom when she was younger. It’s insane. I often had to stop myself from calling her Michelle. Where does the time go? Just yesterday, Michelle was 13, and I was 11, and we went around our neighborhood handing out babysitting fliers. (Uh, yeah. Nobody EVER called us. Jerks.) Now I’m taking pictures of her 13-year-old daughter. Aidan better NEVER turn 13.

Super sneak peek (St. Louis wedding photographers)
March 29, 2009This adorable couple braved the cold wind for their engagement at the Missouri Botanical Gardens this afternoon with me. I had a wonderful time, and couldn’t wait to post a quick one from our shoot. I’m off to Indianapolis for a photography conference, but I’ll have the full post when I get back.

2-week-old baby girl (St. Louis wedding photographer)
March 7, 2009
This sweet baby girl gave her mother a run for her money at our shoot on Friday! We ended up throwing in the towel because she pooped CONSTANTLY, and she did not want to sleep…I only got a few shots, but here was one that I really liked. We’re going to have a round 2 next week.
